اقتراح إنشاء موقع يكون نواة حملة لحماية مدينة دمشق.
فيما يلي نسخة أولية للاقتراح، أطرحها هنا للنقاش، كي نتمكن من المباشرة في الحملة وهي طبعاً قابلة للتعديل. أرجو من جميع المهتمين بالموضوع إبداء ملاحظاتهم واقتراحاتهم أو حتى رغبتهم في المشاركة في إدارة الموقع.
رسالة الموقع:
العمل على وقف التنفيذ السريع لمشروع توسيع شارع الملك فيصل وإطلاق دراسة شاملة عن حالة المنطقة للمساعدة في إيجاد حلول بديلة للمشاكل التي يهدف المشروع لمعالجتها.
وقف التنفيذ السريع:
- عدم كفاية الدراسات التي أجريت قبل إقرار المشروع.
- الأثر السلبي لتنفيذ المشروع دون مراعاة نظرة أهالي المدينة له.
- الحجم الهائل للخسائر المالية التي ستطال تجار وسكان منطقة المشروع.
دراسة شاملة:
- تخطيطية: عمرانية مرورية
- اقتصادية: معالجة وضع الأسواق التجارية في المنطقة والوضع الاقتصادي للشاغلين.
- تصنيف الأبنية الموجودة في المنطقة أثرياً، وتحديد الطرق المثلى لدراستها و/أو الاستفادة منها سياحياً.
- معمارية: مخطط وتصميم جديد يراعي المتطلبات الحديثة للمدينة ويسنجم مع النسيج المعماري للمدينة القديمة.
حلول بديلة:
- إمكانية الهدم الجزئي للمنطقة وفق مخطط مدروس يحافظ على ماهو أثري وقيم.
- تخفيف الضغط عن المنطقة من خلال جذب الأعمال التجارية المتواجدة فيها بكثافة إلى مناطق أخرى
- حلول اقتصادية / اجتماعية لشاغلي المنطقة تؤمن بدائل مناسبة أو تعويضات كافية
أدوات العمل:
- خلق وسيلة للتواصل بين مجموعة الأشخاص والهيئات المهتمة بشؤون المدينة والتي يمكنها مجتمعةً تقديم الدعم لأعمال التطوير الحالية والمستقبلية من خلال دراسات منظمة ومستقلة.
- إنشاء قاعدة بيانات لتوثيق المعلومات المتعلقة بالمنطقة التي يشملها المشروع لتسهيل الدراسات والأبحاث
- زيادة الوعي بين سكان دمشق فيما يخص شؤون المدينة.

First time visitor, I'm not fanatic about poetry but I like what you are suggesting, very mature, very smart, well written and to the point. This is exactly what is needed to start working on saving the City as Whole. I live in USA and I would suggest to you to create new blog and start recording every things being said about Faisal Street. It is time to establish a standard format for people to have their saying. It is also needed to let the expert have their views and studies. This is suppose to be done by municipality but unfortunately is not happening. What is happening currently on Syria news is not helpful since there is no expert mediator to organize and sort some valuable ideas and views. Please let me know how I can help.

here's what I was thinking:
1. News aggregation: this could be done by a couple of enthusiasts.
2. Wiki pages.
3. Forums where the experts would be able to post their views.
The quality of the wiki documentation and forum discussions is of course dependent on how many experts we can attract.

Guys, I was working on the website when I posted this, but a strange combination of things made me this late: ConnectionSpeed/FreeHosting/CollegeStuff ...
I just uploaded the work on some free hosting service but It seems it won't run as some of the features are disabled, I'll try to figure out some solution tonight.
Anyways, the website will be like an "Empty Website" which is easy to "Fill up" with anything you guys find appropriate to the campaign.
The greatest help would be spreading the website, encouraging people to register, and reaching out to experts that are willing to participate and enrich the website with whatever they find necessary.
I'll post a status update in like 48 hours, and hopefully the link to the working website.
